📰 The Story of Jacking Records By Rick Silva

From Foundation to a New Chapter

Jacking Records was founded on July 14th, 2020, in Mexico City under the initiative of Rick Silva and Alex Mode, later joined by Mabel Caamal, forming a team driven by a shared vision centered around Tech House and underground dancefloor culture.

From its very beginning, the label experienced strong acceptance within the global electronic music community. Early releases quickly gained traction, and the fourth release reached the #1 position in its genre, with the track “Jacking”rapidly becoming a powerful dancefloor success.

What followed was a period of remarkable growth.

Multiple chart-topping releases positioned Jacking Records as a respected platform for Tech House artists worldwide. The volume of demo submissions increased significantly, attracting producers from different musical backgrounds. In response, the label expanded its structure to accommodate this creative demand, giving birth to sub-labels such as Jacking Cuts, Jacking Traxx, and Jacking Techno, each designed to support distinct sonic directions while preserving the core identity of the brand.

For more than three and a half years, Jacking Records enjoyed a period of continuous artistic momentum and international recognition.

However, toward the end of 2023, the label faced an unexpected and critical setback.

A malicious software attack delivered through a demo submission compromised the label’s interconnected systems. Studios, offices, servers, and production equipment were severely affected, resulting in the loss of operational access across the entire infrastructure.

Although partial data recovery was achieved months later, the operational impact was significant. Communication channels were interrupted, artist submissions slowed dramatically, and essential administrative processes — including royalties, operational expenses, and day-to-day management — became increasingly difficult to sustain.

Despite considerable efforts to rebuild and stabilize operations, the long-term effects placed the label in a challenging position.

With deep respect for the artists who trusted the platform and contributed to its catalog, the founding team made the decision to offer Jacking Records a new opportunity for continuation and growth under new management capable of restoring and expanding its potential.

Today, Jacking Records begins a new chapter — carrying forward the legacy built by its artists, its music, and the underground community that supported it from day one.

📰 Jacking Records: The Next Chapter

After years of growth, challenges, and transformation, Jacking Records now enters a new phase in its journey.

Following a period marked by both success and unexpected adversity, the label begins a renewed chapter under the Little Big Groove Records ecosystem — ensuring continuity, stability, and future development for the music and artists that helped shape its identity.

The acquisition of Jacking Records represents more than a structural transition. It is a commitment to preserving the legacy built since 2020 while providing the resources and infrastructure necessary for long-term sustainability.

With this integration, Rick Silva joins the administrative leadership of Jacking Records, helping guide the label’s direction while maintaining its original underground spirit and Tech House foundation.

Now operating as part of the expanding Little Big Groove ecosystem, Jacking Records will continue supporting dancefloor-driven music while benefiting from a broader global network of artists, distribution strategy, and creative collaboration.

This new stage focuses on rebuilding momentum, reconnecting with artists, and opening new opportunities for producers worldwide who share the same passion for groove-oriented underground culture.

What began in Mexico City now moves forward on an international scale.

The story continues — stronger, connected, and ready for the future.

A legacy preserved.
A vision renewed.
The groove moves forward.
